Hundreds of individuals throughout the region share the United Way's vision for changing and supporting the community, and fund our efforts through a contribution of $500 or more. Leadership givers can donate through their workplace or directly to the United Way. Two important philanthropic groups (Tocqueville Society and the Women's Leadership Council) are growing and committing their time and resources to our Community Impact Fund.

The United Way Tocqueville Society was founded more than 20 years ago in order to deepen the understanding and commitment and support of United Way's most generous and community-minded investors. In our area over two dozen have joined to ensure that the needs of Westmoreland County and surrounding area are met. Members will have unique opportunities to see how they are making a difference in their community.
Members of the Tocqueville Society have contributed ten thousand dollars or higher to support United Way's Impact Fund.
Women's Leadership Council
On October 26, 2006, the Women's Leadership Council of the United Way of Westmoreland County launched its organization with a breakfast for "Women of Influence." Since then the membership has grown to over 50 individuals that are meeting quarterly to help expand the Council and have a greater impact on seniors in our community. This group has selected supporting seniors as their main focus for lasting change in our community. Members in the Women's Leadership Council contribute a thousand dollars or higher to support the United Ways efforts to help the vulnerable and aging in our area.
