WLC Announces Step Up Program - September 22, 2011

Women's Leadership Council Executive Committee invites new members to participate in the WLC Step Up program.  This program allows individuals to join at half the standard rate at $500.  In year two, the program raises the membership fee to $750 and in the third year to $1,000. Thanks to the support of the membership, together we have built a network of Faith in Action sites that serve over 800 seniors in four communities.  United Way's strategic goal is to serve 2,000 and save the community $30 million annually.  For more information on the Step Up Program, just click here - WLC Step Up Info .

On October 26, 2006, the Women's Leadership Council (WLC) of United Way of Westmoreland County launched its organization with a breakfast for "Women of Influence." Since then, the membership has grown to over 100 women who now meet quarterly to help expand the Council and offer a greater impact to the senior citizens in our community today. This group has selected supporting seniors as their main focus for lasting change in Westmoreland County and surrounding areas. Members of the Women's Leadership Council contribute $1,000 or more, annually, to support United Way's efforts to help seniors supported by Faith in Action.
