What We Care About

Success in Learning & Life strives to enrich academic and social development for all youth so they are ready for work and life.

Thousands of children are being prepared for success in kindergarten through United Way's School Readiness that funds a wide range of programs to orient new students, parents, early care providers, teachers and administrators to the needs and programs that help children arrive ready to learn. Through this effort, the United Way promotes not only early care and education, but also after-school programs, vision screenings, and helps to increase graduation rates in Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

This effort and others address the critical needs around Helping Children and Youth Succeed.
